Lovely moments today at the Seaside Pearl Farmgate Winery in Abbotsford. Open for just a few days! They don’t offer a menu at this point (but plan to soon), so Alison said to bring your own lunch – which I happily did.
After sampling a couple reds, I chose a glass of Royal Engineers Reserve Petit Verdot, and sat at my own little table and soaked up the early afternoon sunshine.
“Supple tannins and American Oak remain in the background, providing structure without interfering with the luscious, elegant flavors. The wine is long, enticing, alluring, concentrated, textural and complex… simply delicious! Aged for 18 months and already reflecting its beautiful heritage…” Read [more] about their wines.
Seaside Pearl Farmgate Winery is an idyllic atmosphere to sit with friends and enjoy a glass of wine. Beautiful!
In case you’re wondering, because I was curious about it too, I asked Alison how they came up with their winery name. She said they chose the chapel because Abbotsford has so many churches, and the “pearl” because she used to sell pearls.
Looking forward to going back soon!
